4 MONTHS Tomorrow!

Hey peeps. If you’re not in recovery you probably won’t get much out of this page but if you would just like to stick around and see what it’s all about I have no issue. This post is going to be about the Nationwide pandemic covid-19. Many of us in recovery are used to seeing our friends in the rooms and receiving those warm welcoming hugs from familiar faces. Quarantine has made that impossible for us and I hate to say it but I am worried for those who do not have access to the internet. There are many in the rooms who have not been fortunate enough to have access to the sort of technology I am using now. Online meetings are great but what about those who can’t get to them? Do we tell them to pray? Pretend they don’t exist? It’s not easy to do this alone we all know that. Isolation is one of the things in recovery that can be most detrimental. I’d like to get some feedback and hear others ideas.

I myself stay in a sober house that is beyond amazing. The women here are awesome and surprisingly we all get along. Our house manager has made it so that we can have our own meetings here in the house and jump on zoom or in the rooms from time to time. Tonight we made french bread pizzas (from scratch) and watched a few redbox movies. My point is not everyone in recovery has the opportunity to do such things. I guess talking about it isn’t helping it much but my heart goes out to those of us who cannot attend online meetings or have self-quarantined. Connection is important for us guys! I guess what I’m trying to say is, call your friends! They are not ok.
